2009 Season
The 2009 field mission consisted in the study of some of the remote sensing targets located by the project in previous years. These where visual confirmation missions only.
Field mission: July 19 to 30
Field methodology: Three to five divers using radial survey for target location.
Eight targets surveyed between 18 to 34 meters depth.

The Lagos D field mission
At the same time, the team worked on Lagos D to create a preliminary map and to try to identify Lagos D wreck. The aim was to identify the vessel, hypothesized to treat the Gunboat "Faro (1912)". To this end, and in the absence of excavation, focused studies in the area of the engine and tried to locate artifacts that could identify the nature of the ship (anchors, identification plate, spoils artillery) and draw parallels with what we know from documentary Gunboat "Faro ".
We started doing the study the shipwreck dives with recognition in place, centered in the stern area. In these dives we try to find artifacts dating or could quickly identify the wreck. We focus on finding anchors, ammunition, motor plate and ship's bell. In parallel we selected three areas to draw in this campaign. Already familiar with the spoils of the wreck have selected Datum and scored several points in the area that would allow us to deploy squares to design and make picture detail. Before starting the drawings, after placement of the dots, made trilateration measurements of various datum points, and 1:10 drawings of specific ship areas, resulting in the following :
